As an undrafted free agent after the 2023 NFL draft, DeVito's roster status was uncertain throughout training camp.

It got shakier when he was waived in late August, then signed to the Giants' practice squad.

With all of that uncertainty surrounding the New Jersey native's playing career, he made the "no-brainer" decision to live at home with his parents.
