New York Giants wide receivers Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard had a heated sideline moment during their 49-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10.
“Darius Slayton says he was having a ‘spirited conversation with WR coach Mike Groh. That's when Sterling Shepard stepped in. Slayton and Shepard said they weren't yelling at each other,” Raanan tweeted on Sunday.
Neither Slayton nor Shepard had a big game in the Giants' third straight loss. The two wide receivers combined for 23 receiving yards and one touchdown on four receptions. New York's anemic offense has been their waterloo all season long.
The final stat line said it all: the Cowboys racked up a total 0f 640 yards while the struggling Giants managed just 172 yards.
Dallas outscored New York by a combined score of 89-17 in their two meetings this season. The Cowboys shut out the Giants 40-0 in Week 1.
Saquon Barkley shared his frustrations about the Giants' losing situation after the game. He said they must put this game behind them and look forward to their next challenge.
